What Kinonicle is
Kinonicle is a private, stewarded family chronicle for families that already have a record worth preserving. It connects people, relationships, sources, stories and media inside one family-controlled space.
It is not a public genealogy database, social network or advertising-funded family profile service. Public pages explain the product and preservation methods; the family record stays behind individual access and is excluded from search inventory.
Who it is designed for
The starting point is usually a family steward with a GEDCOM, spreadsheet, paper genealogy, photographs, documents or oral history—and a concern that the record may become fragmented, inaccessible or dependent on one person.
Why stewardship matters
Kinonicle began with a large, complicated family archive and a practical question: how can relatives explore and contribute without weakening trust in the record?
The family-steward model welcomes suggestions while keeping changes, sources, exports and succession understandable. Stewardship means responsibility for the shared process; it does not imply ownership of relatives’ information or permission to publish it.
Designed for families as they are
The product is being designed for large extended families, names in multiple scripts, culturally familiar kinship language, distributed relatives and blended, adopted and non-traditional relationships. No single cultural tradition is treated as the template for every family.
How public claims are checked
Product claims are tied to the current implementation and operating evidence. Technical observations use synthetic records or controlled public checks; private family material is not used to generate guides, benchmarks or marketing examples.
Where a claim is not yet proven—such as device performance, complete format compatibility or search visibility—Kinonicle states the limitation instead of presenting an aspiration as a result.
Current stage and contact
Kinonicle is in an early, founder-gated stage. Capabilities, limits, pricing and operating procedures may change as the private beta is reviewed. Public pages are dated and refreshed when product evidence changes.
